AlmaLusa Comporta is a hotel with a focus on design, art and sustainability.

Many features were incorporated into the restoration and design of the building to reduce its impact on the environment and carbon footprint.

The aim was to create a hotel that would be connected to its location, not just by virtue of being in Comporta, but by being integrated in the local culture and community. A permanent collection of art can be found throughout the hotel’s public spaces and includes works by local artists that portray the beautiful region of Comporta.

Modern art lends itself to Comporta’s historical relationship with nature and AlmaLusa strongly believes in creating ties to the local community.  We therefore proudly exhibit several artists who have worked locally and who share our passion for Comporta.

AlmaLusa Hotels strongly believes that the hospitality industry must play an active role in respecting the environment and participating in the community, to promote its sustainable development. It is all about telling the story of each location, respecting the locals, and helping to protect their heritage.
